The U14 Gaelic football team had its first match on Thursday 8th October. After a number of training sessions Mr. O’ Brien and Mr. Gleese were hopeful of a good performance against Callan CBS. The team played very well in the first half and went to the break with a 1-5 to 0-2 lead. Callan came back strongly at the beginning of the second half but the Scoil Aireagail lads responded in great style and eventually ran out 3-8 to 1-5 winners. It was a great team performance with notable individual performances from Brendan Fitzpatrick, Casey Corcoran, Michael Walsh and Reece Anderson. Thanks to both coaches Mr. O’ Brien and Mr. Gleese, and to all the team for their determination right throughout the game.
