Ice Skating Trip

Many of our class groups went into Kilkenny this week to go ice skating and bowling. These outings play a very important role in promoting well being among our students. The trips as always provided a nice build up to the festive holiday. Well done to all involved in organising and facilitating the trips.

TY Marie Keating Foundation Cancer Prevention Talk

Last week Ursula Clancy, a Community Information Nurse from the Marie Keating Foundation visited the school to talk to Transition Year students. This talk focused on cancer prevention and early detection. Students found the talks extremely informative. Thanks to the Marie Keating Foundation for facilitating the talk.

Past pupil Roy Cullen in conjunction with Kilkenny Sport Partnership recently ran a personal fitness program with our TY classes. Ag. Science Farm Visit

The 5th and 6th year Ag. Science classes recently visited Liam and Pat Hennessy’s farm in Rathculbin, Kells. The students got a tour of the farm and saw a 50 point rotary milking parlour in action. It was a very interesting farm visit and very educational.

Music Session at Billys Tea Room
