Our Senior Cycle and 3rd years got the opportunity to attend the Ploughing Championships in Fenagh, Carlow on Tuesday 17th September. Ms. Hickey took her Agricultural Science students along to get a look at current trends and issues facing the agricultural sector. Ms. Naddy’s Transition Year students as part of their Home Economics course used the day to gain more of an insight into the food industry and the source of food products. It was a perfect day to travel to the event with the sun shining the whole day. Many thanks to Ms. Naddy, Ms. Hickey, Ms. Maher, and Ms. Rowe, and our SNA’s Angie, Theresa, Mary and Alison who organised and traveled to the event with students.
