On October 11th Scoil Aireagail will host a meeting for staff and the parents/guardians of first year students. This meeting will give parents/guardians the opportunity to discuss students integration into secondary school life.
A sports day for 4th, 5th and 6th class pupils in our catchment area national schools will be held in Scoil Aireagail next Friday, 8th October. Congratulations to Danielle Catt and Shauna Kenneally who are the reigning Leinster U14 Badminton champions. The girls endured some difficult games along the way, but they kept their cool and used their undoubted talent to succeed. Congratulations to current sixth year student Dylan Walsh who was the goalkeeper on the Leinster and All Ireland winning Kilkenny Minor Hurling Team this year. Dylan had a very successful year and made a very important contribution to the team’s success. We wish Dylan all the best in his future career on and off the pitch.

On Thursday, 30th September our 1st year girls traveled to Waterford to take part in a soccer blitz tournament.A very enjoyable day was had by all. Many thanks to Mr. Dowling for organising the outing.

5th and 6th Year Agricultural Science students went to the Ploughing Championships which took place in Athy, Co. Kildare last week. This proves a great educational experience for our Agricultural Science students, as it enhances their learning in the classroom. Thanks to Ms. Hickey for organising the outing.

Many of our 6th year students travelled to the Higher Options Conference in the R.D.S. in Dublin recently. This conference provides a great opportunity to become informed about future studies and career plans. A worthwhile experience was had by all.
