Congratulations to our u16 hurling panel who finished top of their league group recently.
On Monday,21st September the lads welcomed Duiske College, Graignamanagh to Ballyhale for their first encounter and the home side triumphed by a single point. The team showewd great spirit in this game, as they came from behind to win, having been five points down to Duiske at half time.
The following Monday the boys travelled to Colaiste Cois Suire, Mooncoin and won convincingly against a much younger Mooncoin team.
The final match in the group took placeon Monday, 5th October against Grennan College, Thomastown, once more in Ballyhale. The away team put up a brave effort, but Scoil Aireagail won out on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-5.
Having won 3 out of 3, Scoil Aireagail’s u16s have qualified to play against Ramsgrange in the semi final. Best of luck boys!
