In keeping with the school’s holistic values student leadership is promoted through a number of policies; Student Council, Cairdeas Programme, Student Prefect System.
Student Council
The Student Council is the representative body for students. The forum is used to discuss and raise students’ concerns with school management. All class and year groups are represented and the council meet on a regular basis.

Cairdeas Programme
The Cairdeas programme is a mentoring programme involving 5th and 1st Year students. The 5th Year students act as mentors to 1st Year students during their first year in Scoil Aireagail. The programme is designed to assist 1st Year students in the transition from primary to secondary school. It also aims to promote and develop leadership capacities among the participating 5th year students.
