U16 Soccer

Scoil Aireagail’s u16 boys soccer team had a great start to this season’s campaign with a convincing 5-0 win over Kilkenny City Vocational School in Ballyhale last Wednesday.

This was the home side’s first match, and they quickly got into their stride, and led by 2 goals to nil at the break. A further 3 goals were added in the second half.

It should be noted that this was the city side’s first game at this level in a number of years, and they performed admirably, with some good goalkeeping and the crossbar keeping their strikers at bay.

Well done to the Scoil Aireagail boys and manager Mr. Madden, and best of luck in the upcoming games lads!
