Congratulations to past pupils Paul Murphy, Colin Fennelly and Michael Fennelly who were on the Kilkenny senior hurling team that defeated Galway in the All Ireland Senior Hurling Final on Sunday last in what was a thrilling final replay against Galway at Croke Park.
The Cats ran out 3-22 to 3-11 winners thanks to nine points from Henry Shefflin, a goal and three points apiece from Walter Walsh and Richie Hogan before Colin Fennelly added the icing on the cake with a late third goal.
Congratulations to Paul Murphy who has been nominated for the GAA GPA Hurler of the Year award. Paul has had an outstanding year at corner back.
Michael Fennelly has been nominated for an All-Star award for his position in midfield.The individual and team award winners will be announced live on RTÉ television on Friday, October 26.
