On Friday 5th October, Ms. Mills and Ms. Murphy took their 6th Year Geography students on a River Study Field Trip. The class went to Kippure Estate in Blessington to study river erosion. This is a compulsory section of the Geography Leaving Cert Course – worth 20% of the overall mark.
The 6th Year students will be busy over the next few weeks writing up their field work booklets. They will need to explain how they planned and gathered their information as well as the results, conclusions and evaluations.
The field study is great fun, and also provides students with a hands on and practical learning experience.
