Kilkenny Secondary Schools’ Talent Competition

 
   
 

Scoil Aireagaiol students were among secondary students all over Kilkenny who took part in the Kilkenny Secondary Schools’ Talent Competition final, which took place on Wednesday, November 21 in the Watergate theatre.

The concert was in aid of the O’ Neill Centre, Enable Ireland. Martin Bridgeman of KCLR was the MC for the evening, while Brendan Corcoran of the Musical Society and John Walsh of KCLR were among the judges.

Scoil Aireagail were represented by Emma Blake, Vivienne Wemmys, James Corcoran, Ryan Thomas, and Oisín Ryan.

Emma gave a lovely rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Simple Man’, accompanied by Jason Dalton on guitar.
Oisin Ryan sang ‘When you say nothing at all ‘, James Corcoran performed a lively number ‘Superstar’ by the group ‘Lupe Fiasco’. Ryan Thomas sang the latest single from Ed Sheeran ‘Give me Love’, and Vivienne sang ‘Bubbly’ a song from the American singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat.
