On Monday the 22nd of September, Scoil Aireagail Senior Camogie girls took on Colàiste Naomh Cormac in Ballyhale. The girls got off to a great start with goals from Lucy Elvidge, Ciara Phelan and Valentena Kavanagh. The Scoil Aireagail girls very quickly added multiple points to the scoreboard. Colàiste Naomh Cormac fought back by adding a goal and 4 points. Only for the Scoil Aireagail goal keeper, Shauna Kenneally, multiple goals would have been scored. Finally after a long and tiring first half, the whistle blew for half-time. The score at half time was Scoil Aireagail: 4-4 Colàiste Naomh Cormac: 1-4.
In the second half both teams came out fighting. Further goals were added to the Scoil Aireagail scoreboard by Lucy Elvidge who kept rattling the back of the net. Eimear and Sinead Fitzpatrick kept the ball rolling in mid-field. The backs were put under a lot of pressure when Colàiste Naomh Cormac came back with three consecutive goals, but nothing the Scoil Aireagail girls couldn’t handle because they quickly responded with numerous points. The full time score was Scoil Aireagail: 8-5 Colàiste Naomh Cormac: 4-8
