Our U16 Hurlers second match of the season was against Wexford CBS. It was a very one sided match as the final score was 4-18 to 1 point. Scoil Aireagail had a very good start with two quick goals from Ronan Hayes and Martin Davis tapping over a few frees and picking up some points from play. Roy Cullen and Patrick Hearne scored 2 points each which put Ballyhale far in the lead. Substitutions of Martin Davis, Ronan Hayes, Roy Cullen and Darragh Doyle allowed our subs to come on. Sean Fitzpatrick one of the subs scored two points and Mark Mc Namara scored an amazing 1-5 after coming on at full forward. Jamie Dungan scored a healthy 2 points and James Brennan made some runs from corner back picking up a point. Brian Farrell had a disallowed goal due to a square ball from a 65. Scoil Aireagail’s u16s will face Ramsgrange in the next match and if they are victorious they will be the winners of the Roinn 1 and will face the runners up of Roinn 2 which will be a quarter final.
