On Monday the 13th of October 2014, Scoil Aireagail Senior Camogie Girls took on St. Fergal’s Rathdowney in Ballyhale. In the first few minutes the other team got an early lead scoring 2 points. A point was added to Scoil Aireagail’s scoreboard by Ciara Phelan after great tackling from Lucy Elvidge and Valentina Kavanagh. Ciara put up a great fight and won the ball back and then played a low ball into Lucy, which resulted in a fantastic goal. Great play from the forwards resulted in yet another point from Ciara. A free following a foul on Lucy was put over the bar by Ciara. Great running from Tara resulted in a point being put over by Ciara. Ciara added another point to the scoreboard when the goal keeper saved a shot from Lucy. Lucy then added another point. A free was taken by Ciara which dropped into the back of the net. The other team came back strong in the second half adding a goal and a point to their scoreboard. But Ciara quickly responded to this adding a point from free. Just towards the end the other team added another point, but it was not enough as the whistle blew and the match had ended with Scoil Aireagail winning by 6 points. Final score was 2-7 to 1-4.
