Scoil Aireagail School of Hairdressing is equipped with state-of-the-art salon facilities, together with a dedicated and experienced staff that will help provide you with the necessary skills to enter this exciting career.
What will I study? 1st year Personal presentation, Hair and Scalp analysis, Reception Skills, Shampoo and Conditioning, Styling and Dressing Hair, Colouring , Curling and Straightening, Cutting, Sales and Marketing. During the year students will attend external courses on Hair Colour, Up styling, Perming techniques, Barbering Workshops etc. and Seminars on Hair and Beauty
How long is the course? Two years, with work experience every Friday
What experience should I have? Students applying for Hairdressing should have Art and Science to leaving certificate Level. It is an advantage to have previous work experience in a salon.
