Congratulations to Ella Moore, Amy Laherty and Aisling O’Mahony who have qualified to the regional finals of the Junk kouture recycled fashion competition. Their dress creation ‘The Rose Warrior’ will be modelled on the cat walk at UL concert hall on Friday 6th March by team model Amy Laherty. The girls have worked hard to get to this stage of the competition. Their dress is made from recycled materials including pink and red card which they made into origami roses and arranged in the design of the breast cancer awareness logo. The concept behind their dress is to raise awareness of breast cancer, empower femininity and support patients in their fight against cancer. Amy will model the dress to the soundtrack of ‘Fight Song’ by Rachel Platten. The girls would like to thank all their friends, family and school community who supported their journey by voting for their design and we wish them the best of luck on Friday in Limerick.
