On Wednesday the 5th of February our 5th and 6th year Ag Science class went on a farm walk to Corcoran’s Dairy and Beef farm in Ballyhale. The farm walk is part of our Ag Science coursework. We left the school at 10:00am and headed to the farm where we met Ann and Tommy Corcoran. They showed us the milking parlour and the cattle sheds. We also saw some of this year’s calves. It was a great insight into the work on a farm and it was a very enjoyable day. Thanks to Ms. Hickey for organizing the trip.
