Throughout March the Transition Year students completed a water safety course in the Sean Kelly Centre, Carrick-on-Suir. Experienced Irish Water Safety Association (IWSA) instructors put students through their paces in a very intense and highly technical programme. Competency in water safety is such an important, and possibly life-saving skillset to have for anyone of any age. Well done to out TY students for making the most of the course, and for recognising how important it is. Thanks to TY co-ordinator Ms. Naddy and to P.E. teacher Mr. Mc Grath for organising the event.
