Our 1st Year girls Futsal panel competed in the schools competition in Watershed, Kilkenny on Thursday 24th October. Futsal is a variation on standard soccer played on a hard court, and mainly indoors. It is five-a-side with unlimited substitution. The competition is run by the FAI. The FAI development officer ran a Futsal programme in Scoil Aireagail recently, to get players used to the game. Well done to all the girls who played so well. They lost two games but won their match against Duiske College. Thanks to PE teacher Mr McGrath for co-ordinating the event and to Ms. Kelly for accompanying players on the day.
