Gaeilge24

Over 30,000 students take part in the #Gaeilge24 challenge across Ireland on November 12th  The goal of the Conradh na Gaeilge-organised initiative is to encourage young people to speak Irish for 24 hours at home, in school and during other social interactions whether at the shops, with local businesses, friends, and in their local sports clubs.

Sixty of our students here in Scoil Aireagail and members of staff took part in the challenge. Everyone made a huge effort to speak Irish and use their cúpla focal. A special mention to Sienna Drennan 1st Year and Aisling O’Mahony 6th year who were Gaeilgóirí an lae. Beatha teanga í a labhairt – The life of a language is to speak it! Thanks to Ms. Murphy and Ms. Kelly for organizing the event.
