Our 3rd year Digital Media Students were busy learning about internet safety and social media as part of their digital media literacy course. Check out their amazing posters that they created for their classroom based assessment. They were then displayed around the school to spread the word about Safer Internet Day 2024.

Our 1st Year SPHE students completed the Webwise “My Online World” program over January and February. The aim of the course is to teach students to assess the benefits and challenges associated with their online world and discuss strategies for dealing with a range of scenarios that might arise for them when online. Students also discussed how to share personal information, images, opinions, and emotions in a safe, responsible and respectful manner. This course has been developed by webwise.ie in partnership with National Council for Curriculum and Assessment(NCCA).

Our senior students participated in a talk from our local Gardaí who shared their insights into internet safety and the law. The talk was very informative. Big thank you to the Ballyhale Gardaí for taking time out of their busy day to come visit us in Scoil Aireagail.
