Exploring Creativity: The BLAST Residency Program with Artist Sheila Jordan

Over the course of five weeks in January and February, our talented 2nd-year Art students immersed themselves in the Blast Residency Program alongside artist Sheila Jordan. The BLAST Programme aims to equip children and young adults with essential skills for the future, emphasizing the ability to connect, collaborate, think creatively and critically, and foster inclusivity—qualities crucial for achieving peace, stability, sustainable economic growth, and equality.

With Sheila’s help, students delved into the art of creating their own sketchbooks, experimented with captivating mark-making techniques, and even got their hands muddy learning to throw clay pots. The kiln fired up their creativity as they designed and glazed their unique ceramic masterpieces. Sheila’s guidance left an indelible mark, and our students are now equipped with a treasure trove of new skills!
