On Thursday the 31st of January the art students of TY, 5th and 6th year along with art teacher Ms. Dalton went to visit the National history museum of Dublin and the Hughlane gallery. The students had a self guided tour of the museum visiting its various exhibits on Irish and international history. Then after an hour lunch break the students went to the Hughlane gallery where they were given a tour of the historic charlemont house and saw the many works of art in the gallery including the studio of famous Irish artist Francis Bacon. Despite the miserable weather the day went well and thanks to Ms. Dalton for organising the trip.
