On 10th April last ‘Scoil Aireagail’s Got Talent 2019’ was hosted in Knocktopher Hall. It was a highly successful and entertaining hour of music, dance and song. Many of our students who study Music at Leaving and Junior Certificate level performed on the night. Occasions such as these really demonstrate and showcase the enormous and impressive level of musical talent we have in our school. Principal, Mr. O’ Brien, congratulated students on their talents, and their courage in performing in front of an audience. He also acknowledged how our school recognises and helps develop all aspects of education, from the academic to all the extra-curricular. Mr. O’ Brien also encouraged students to continue to pursue their interests and hobbies through school and beyond. An event such as this requires serious advance preparation. Sincere thanks to Music teacher Ms. Rowe for all the work put in to prepare for the concert. She has been very generous with her time over the past few weeks in preparing students during lunch hour with extra lessons, and making sure all had the skill and confidence to perform on the night. Thanks also to students and staff who helped with all the equipment. It was a great occasion for our school community to experience and appreciate the talents of our students.
