Our senior players opening soccer fixtures of the year was a huge success with both our boys and girls securing victories.
Our girls dominated the game throughout with usual suspect Abbie O’Keefe amongst the goals scoring 4 on the day. Fellow striker Emma Dempsey added 1 along with midfield maestro Orla Sutton finishing off the days goals.
Our boys began just as strong scoring 3 goals in the first half. Eoin Aylward, Joseph Aylward and Michael Dunne shared the first half spoils. A determined CPO made a game of it in the second half scoring 2 unanswered goals before substitute Adam Franks finished well to stretch the gap to 2 goals again. CPO added another soon after to put the pressure back on Scoil Aireagail heading into the final minutes of the game. Captain Jack Raggett secured victory by winning and converting a last minute free kick. Well done to everyone involved.
