Scoil Aireagail Senior hurlers had a convincing victory over Kildare Community School in Pairc na Sheamrog recently. On a cool day the lads took a while to warm to the occasion, leading 0-9 to 1-1 at half time.
They had most possession throughout the game but found it difficult to get scores in the first half. They relaxed into the game in the second half and ran away convincing winners against an physical Kildare side. Sam Mansfield, John Somers, Michael Catt Matthew Murphy and Cathal Coogan were the stand out performers, while Adam Franks was unmarkable throughout in a solid team performance, where we won 3-18 to 1-1.
