On Monday 14th our u16 footballers had their first game. They played Selskar College and were fantastic on a cold day in Pairc Na Seamroig. They were leading 1-6 to 0-3 at half time, with goals from Conor Kinsella and Michael Dunne chipping in with 4 points. In the second half, an early Jamie Murphy goal, followed by goals from Seamus Murphy and Cian Franks settled the contest. The team were excellent in workrate and tackling but a special mention to John Somers, Matthew Murphy, Captain Michael Catt and Cathal Coogan who shone on the day with a final score of 4-11 to 0-4. We play Glenart College of Wicklow in the next round.
