On Saturday last, January 20th, we had 7 students representing the KCETB Schools County Team where they faced a very strong side in the Laois U15 Development Squads. We had a great victory after a tough battle in both the 1st Half and in the 2nd Half. Playing into a strong breeze in the first half we were lucky to come out on top at half time with the scoreline at 0-06 to 0-04.
In the Second Half we had the wind in our back and we pushed on for the second half to come away with a hard fought and deserved win with the scoreline of 0-13 points to 0-06. Students from Scoil Aireagail were Cian Franks, Danny Somers, Jack Dempsey, Jamie Murphy, Seamus Murphy, Conor Holohan and Liam O Grady. Next up for the lads in a Leinster Final against the winners of Offaly and Westmeath in 2 weeks time. Well done to all involved.
