1916 Commemoration
Kilkenny and Carlow ETB intend to mark the nationwide commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising with a student centred event on the 21 April. Scoil Aireagail will be represented at the event along with other schools from Kilkenny and Carlow. Details about the event will be posted closer to the date.
2nd Year trip to the Zoo
Last week our 2nd year English class, together with their teachers Mr. Foster and Angie, had a really enjoyable tip to Dublin Zoo. The students undertook research for their projects as part of the new Junior Cert Programme in English.

Ag Science students farm visit
On Tuesday 17th November our 5th and 6th year Ag Science students with their teacher Ms. Hickey visited Michael Downey’s farm in Owning. Co Kilkenny. He has Lely robotic milking machine. The trip was really interesting and worthwhile and a great help for the students’ Leaving Cert projects.

The cycle to Syria has raised a whopping €8755 for the Trocaire Syrian refugee fund. We are so proud of our TY students who organised the cycle with such dedication and skill. Scoil Aireagail Winter Concert
The Scoil Aireagail Christmas concert will take place on Thursday 3 December in the Carmelite Hall at 8pm, admission €5. Come along and enjoy the great musical, singing and dancing talent the students have to offer. Proceeds from the concert go to school instrument fund and local St. Vincent de Paul.
