Transition Years compete in Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge

Our Transition Year students traveled into Kilkenny on Thursday 16th January to compete in the Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge. In the morning students took part in a Financial Wellbeing Session where they had  the chance to brush up on Financial Wellbeing topics like spending, saving, earning, credit and debt. At the end of these sessions, students got a better understanding of why it’s so important to be smart about money with useful tips and guides for the future. In the afternoon the quiz began consisting of eight rounds of all kinds of money related questions and conundrums to be solved over a two hour period. Congratulations to Shane Aylward who outsmarted the 160 other students to be the last man standing and he won himself a won for all voucher on the day. Thanks to all student who took part in the quiz and to their parents who co-ordinated their transport to the quiz on the day and thanks to Ms. Dooley for organizing the day.
