Recently in October the school celebrated Maths Week, 2019. The first years and second years went to Castlecomer Discovery Park to attend the excellent Maths Trail. The students had a great time and worked on their angles with some archery lessons after completing the maths trail.

Deon Smith and Charles Briscoe in TYA devised and ran a very successful Maths Trail for our second years around the school. This was won by Joseph Aylward and Ciaran Holden.

Maths Puzzle
Also a maths puzzle was announced daily for the whole school to participate in. The winners were: Marie Therese Aylward, Shauna Sutton, Marie Culleton, Megan Rooney, Damien Devine & Rachel Duggan.

Table Quiz:
TYA, organized and ran a maths themed table quiz for junior students. The students set up the room, set the questions and corrected them. Nicole O’ Leary was a very capable quiz master on the day. All the proceeds went to Pieta House. The table quiz was won by Ciara Walsh, Henry Long, Rohan Smith and Abbie O’ Keeffe.
